The independent Anna Lisa Gibson is an account executive at a prestigious marketing firm and is used to having her own way. When shes forced to share her office and her client with a Brit from their London office, shes more than displeased. Unlike her boyfriend, she finds him rude, disagreeable and not at all attractive. But as she gets to know him, she regrets judging him so quickly and gradually becomes his friend.
The handsome and engaged Neil Scott Whittaker has a lot more than friendship in mind. Although he and Anna Lisa had a bad start, he cant control his attraction toward her. As their friendship deepens, he wonders what it would feel like to spend one night with his officemate.
Yet romance is only a part of this story. From the streets of Los Angeles to the streets of London, Lemon Curd depicts the millennium lifestyle Womens position in the business world, the workaholic and multitasking attitude of our society, the unscrupulous act of taking what we want without thinking about the consequences of our actions, the sociopolitical atmosphere of the 21st century and the difficulty of balancing family and work life while trying to make a difference in the lives of the people around us.
