I've been really wanting to do an arrangement of this haunting piece from Marty O'Donnell's excellent score for the Halo video game. It took a lot of work with a piano to figure out the tune note-perfect. I have a clean rhythm guitar in the first half and a dirtier guitar in the second half holding down the basic chords. I then overdubbed a three-part harmony with a warm lead tone, followed by a "lead" track that is more out front. I was trying to capture the essence of the string and voice orchestration on guitar without excess feedback.

In the background, I have arranged a drum track using my drum machine and overdubbed the bassline on my Fender jazz bass. As usual, all of my guitar tracks are recorded direct via the Vetta II with my trusty Gibson Explorer.

I will try and get a "performance" version up sooner or later.
