The Jukebox mechanism has four switches that can hold and route some big coins of two colors: red and green. The object of the puzzle is to insert them in the correct order, such that all red coins end up left and the green coins right.
The puzzle in the video was made by Peter Knoppers and me for the Delft Science Center. It is a lot of fun seeing children play the puzzle. Many of them don't get it. They insert a coin, see it get stuck and turn the switch by hand. After doing this two or three times, they get bored. But other people do get it, and play the game for quite a while.
