South Detective Division is looking to identify and located two suspects wanted for a shooting in Point Breeze.

On June 25, 2014, at 12:25 pm, 17th District officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of 1700 Wharton Street. When police arrived on location they were met by the complainant, a 23 year-old male, stating he was shot while walking west on the 1700 block of Wharton Street when he heard gunshots and while running for cover he felt a pain in his left leg. Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts two unknown males armed with handguns chasing the complainant west on Wharton Street towards 18th Street. After shooting the complainant both suspects then run back toward 17th Street entering a silver colored vehicle fleeing east on Wharton Street from 17th Street. The complainant was then transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with one gunshot wound to the left thigh where he was taken into surgery. While at the hospital, the complainant was found to be in possession of narcotics and arrested for narcotics violations.

Suspect Description:
Suspect #1: Black male, 6'0″, 20 years-of-age, muscular build, full beard, wearing blue jeans, white tank top, and an orange hat.
Suspect #2: Black male, wearing a jacket, blue jeans, and a black shirt.
