Full details at http://chrissansom.net/works/hallofmi..., but in the meantime...

'Hall of Mirrors', for 19-piece chamber orchestra, started life as output from the computer program Fractal Music, which I wrote in the 1990s for the Atari ST. It languished in a drawer for many years, but I've finally begun to carry out my original plan for it and turn it into a chamber orchestra piece, of which this will eventually be the final one of five movements (hence the 'V'). The present version is 'ideal' - completely faithful to the original material - but almost certainly unplayable. I plan, in due course, to make a performance version by means of various compromises - though I accept that it would still be very difficult.

This, therefore, is my MIDI realisation of it - hyper-accurate, of course, but lacking a human dimension and therefore no substitute for the 'real thing'. In case you care about this kind of thing, the virtual instruments are from Sample Modeling, Native Instruments, Modartt, Spitfire and Embertone.
