We started the first 3-4 weeks with some strength and conditioning work aimed at building a strong strength base and always looking to work in as functional a way as possible.We used standard gym kit plus other pieces such as Kettlebells, Milo-supsension kit, Medicine Balls, Power Bags etc
The next phase was spent mainly on developing power. With every exercise done at maximal speed using bungee chords, plyometric exercises and functional movements. Within this we also did tough anaerobic sessions aimed at replicating and increasing match intensities.
