Philip Pelusi collaborated for a fourth year with Venexiana creative dynamo Kati Stern. Venexiana is synonymous with elegance and innovation offering exquisite fabrics, masterful tailoring and witty embellishments. Philip Pelusi, working with Creative Director Jeffrey Reitz, re-imagined the chignon, ushering it into the 21st century.

The simplest ideas are sometimes the most difficult especially in creating a look for Fashion Week that will complement all of the different fabrics and styles for each of the couturier's creations. For Venexiana, Philip revisited the opulent Jazz Age to recreate a neo Gatsby inspired influence. One could even detect a hint of the Venetian in the soft waves that twisted into elegant, romantic concentric circles focusing the eyes on the nape made sensual by the intricate crafting of the Pelusi Fashion Week Couturier Group.

Among his product palette Philip chose his P2 by Philip Pelusi RefresHair to rejuvenate tired looking hair, control frizz and provide klieg like shine under the runway lights. To create greaseless slip and easier style Philip used his P2 Potion. The last thing you want is to have resin and gels coming anywhere near these exotic one of kind fabrics.

Philip Pelusi through his P2 Professional line has created products that create runway performance not only for Fashion Week but everyday in salons across the country for the past 40 years.

Philip Pelusi brought his couturier's eye to Spring Fashion Week 2012 at Lincoln Center, for the Live Sculpture Garden which premiered Vivienne Tam's launch of her LI-NING by Vivienne Tam "Fashion Yoga Collection".

The constant challenge for Philip during fashion week is to create hair designs that complement the line without distracting from the couture clothing designs. The Vivienne Tam presentation was an even larger challenge as Philip was told that models would not be tripping the runway but doing yoga-outside.

Working with Jeffrey Reitz the Creative Director for Philip Pelusi, Philip created the "Hair Om". The hair was designed to recreate the OM logo for Vivienne Tam's fusion of fashion and yoga. Not a simple task while models-non professionals- are stretching their bodies and minds outside amid the foot traffic of Lincoln Center.

Philip created an organic product palette from his Tela Beauty Organics line of certified organic hair and skin care products. He chose his Tela Beauty Organics Dri Shampoo to invigorate tired looking hair, weightlessly control frizz and create a healthy, wholesome glow with a wonderful organic lavender fragrance. To create greaseless slip and easier style Philip used his Tela Beauty Organics Composer with organic apricot and water celery to bind weightless moisture to the hair shaft while smoothing unruly frizz. Tomato and pomegranate help protect hair's strength and color-especially if you're doing yoga outside.

The result was a fusion of the natural organic breathing movement of yoga with the high end fashion sensibilities of Vivienne Tam as translated through the Li-Ning line of athletic performance wear. Philip's unique talent, that comes from his 40 years in the industry, is his ability to allow the designer to communicate their ideas to him. Not unlike having a client in the chair who wants a look that is fresh, organic and whole. That being the point of yoga- to allow the whole body and mind to enjoy each other.

Working with Philip, incorporating his cutting edge Tela Beauty Organics product line and his award winning eye for hair couture, Vivienne Tam was able to bring another dimension to yoga and its millions of followers-fashion even while doing the downward dog.
