Con Edison volunteers sprang into action on October 23, 2010, with a flurry of tree-planting in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, with the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The Con Edison volunteers, led by Public Affairs
Senior Vice President Frances A. Resheske, joined almost 1,000 other volunteers to plant 2,000 trees in the park during a weekend when 20,000 were being planted across New York City.
