Areas of BC’s coast are at-risk of a damaging tsunami. Earthquakes are often precursors to tsunamis.

If you are in a tsunami-risk area and an earthquake strikes, you should first drop, cover and hold on.

When the shaking stops, move to higher ground or inland IMMEDIATELY. Stay there until you are told by local officials that it is safe to leave.
