The Barnardos KidStart Children's Day song was written, composed and produced by Finn Roberts and Simon Kay, 16-year-old pupils from Taradale High School, to celebrate National Children's Day.

KidStart provides services for thousands of New Zealand children and their families/whānau every year. Simon was cared for as a pre-schooler in a KidStart home-based service. Local musician Maude Morris (19) edited the clip, which was shot at the Barnardos KidStart Early Learning Centre in Hastings.
