Dave: Dave Gardy here, live on the floor of GovSec 2011 at the Washington D.C. Convention Center. I'm at the booth of Accellion, which of course we talked to Paua Skokowski earlier on a pre-event webcast, take a look at that video, but I'm with Ken Novellino who is here. Good to see you again. Give us an overview about Accellion, from your perspective and some of its vision.

Ken: So, Accellion from my perspective, I'm the federal rep here in the local Washington D.C. area. We're a company that really is tackling an area of security and collaboration that has been a challenge for many different organizations. What we're doing is enabling an organization to enable their users to securely and easily, and that's really the core competency is being able to easily enable an IT department to allow their users to share large files and collaborate on files, and that's really the next leg of where we're going with this technology. The technology is based off our core technology that's been around since 2005, our secure file transfer technology, but what we're very excited to be debuting this week is our Secure Collaboration Suite. So we're taking basically a lot of what we've done in the past with enabling you to send files externally while maintaining compliance with a lot of government regulations, but now we're taking it a step further and allowing your users to do some versioning, commenting and general collaboration on files and that's really where many agencies are struggling to do this securely and easily. The resources that it can take to enable that type of file sync technology really hits home for organizations that are looking at our technology because we're pretty lightweight on the admin side and from an end user perspective. The interface as what we're showing here, and I won't go too much into it, but the interface is really a web-based interface and that really kills any learning curve within an organization.

Dave: In addition to the Secure Collaboration Suite, what other products are you exhibiting at GovSec?

Ken: The two technologies that we're exhibiting here today are the Secure File Transfer and Secure Collaboration, so we're a company that we're very focused in what we do, we don't have a slew of products. We have really two core technologies, Secure File Transfer and Secure Collaboration.

Dave: Who are some of your government customers currently and how are they protecting their data?

Ken: Yeah, so many of our federal customers came to us because they have a need to eliminate insecure FTP servers. With that being said, the USDA has come to us, NIH, HHS, Securities and Exchange Commission, NASA. So we do have a wide variety of customers in the federal market that are using our technology.

Dave: How are your products geared toward the federal marketplace?

Ken: So, we can really hit a couple of key points for the federal community. One is the fact that we're using a FIPS compliant encryption algorithm. That has been really what helped Accellion win a lot of business in the past year and a half because we were the first secure mobile file transfer utility out there that was FIPS compliant. Now the other key reason why a lot of federal users are going towards us is because of our ability to operate in the cloud, not only operate in the cloud, but also operate in their virtual environment. Whereas many federal users are being pushed to reach out and put solutions in the cloud, we can certainly easily enable that, but the difference is there is no difference in our cloud storage version, whether you use us in the cloud or use us on premise. There is no watered down technology, it's all the same. So many customers are using us in a hybrid model

Dave: Well, excellent. You've had a lot of attention here at the booth, how has the show been for you?

Ken: We've been very, very pleased. We've had a good amount of foot traffic, I mean, the technology speaks for itself. The fact that we're able to easily showcase. Within a couple screens people get it and we're very excited what we're going to do this year.

Dave: Look, that's great. Congratulations on your success in the federal marketplace. I'm here, Dave Gardy, this is Ken Novellini, who is Senior Account Manager Federal and Mid-Atlantic for Accellion. I'm Dave Gardy here on the floor at GovSec 2011, here at the Washington D.C. Convention Center. Stay tuned for more.
