Artist Nalani Malani discusses Kochi, the opportunities and what audiences can expect to see. Malani draws inspiration from literature and explains how she will be drawing on references to the pepper trail, and why Pepper House makes a perfect location for her work for this Biennale. She has worked a lot in spaces with temporary material and this touches on her experience in theatre, which she will be drawing upon at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. The artist explains the collaborative nature of artwork as being composed of the artwork, the artist and the viewer. For Malini, the history of Kochi and it's diverse cultures will form a brilliant backdrop for India's inaugural Biennale.
