While we respect the forces of nature, like storms or gravity, we just can't let them keep us down! Fortunately, Tropical Storm Isaac didn't quite deliver on the threatened amounts of rain or high winds in our area, but he did bring high enough storm surge to interrupt vacation plans in Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Perdido Key. Vacationing guests and residents were asked to evacuate early Monday prior to the storm arriving on the coast. Tuesday we experienced the effects of Isaac rolling in and thankfully today we see the winds dying down and the surge subsiding - clearing the flooded roadways and clearing the path for businesses to welcome our guests back to the island for Labor Day Weekend.

Come hang out with us this holiday weekend if you are looking for a shelter from the storm or just an escape to relaxation. Meyer has free night specials and The Hangout has a Cajun Cochon de Lait Weekend planned. Special thanks to Wes Bayliss and Blake Nolte who were performing John Mayer's "Gravity" during a live set at The Hangout today!
