This project is the development of iPhone casual sport game called Fishing Adventure. This game is developed by using Objective-C language on Xcode and iPhone SDK (in MAC OS X environment). In this work, we use Cocos2D library to manage the game elements such as the movements of sprites, layers, and scene directing. The two main input sources for this game are the Touch Screen and G-sensor. The G-sensor is used to detect the gravitational force acting on iPhone and enable rotating and shaking gestures. The game consists of several characters which are used to guide the player as the main character throughout the storyline. The player has to achieve quests, sell the fish he/she caught and get money to buy better fishing equipments. Game theories used in the character and level design such are funativity, game structure, and the flow channel. Moreover, other algorithms are used in the fish strength simulation such as Perlin noise.
