The foam is upside-down for this video, normally the gun is carried right side up.

I googled rifle cases from my area and found that one from a local general/outdoors store, it's an unbranded one so it was cheap. Which was good since I ripped out the original foam leaving only the lid untouched.

The next step was to find a denser type of foam that would support the rifle cut outs, and the easiest and cheapest way for me was to buy camping mattresses made from EVA-foam from a local hypermarket.

I bought 3 mattresses (1 base & 2 for cut outs) measured and marked them with a pen. Then I cut everythind with normal household scissors, glued the layers together with again normal household glue.

Using scissors is much faster and easier than cutting the foam with a knife etc. But the scissors leave rough & serrated looking edges on the foam, so after the glue had dried I made all the edges smooth & cut outs true just by using normal sanding paper.
