Attention the file can be called minecraft or minecraft.jar doesn't matter.

This is how to find your minecraft .jar on Windows 7 64 bit it should also be the same for Vista and XP . First go to your start window now search for the file %appdata% and in there there should be a file called .minecraft and open that in there there is a file called .bin or just bin open this up and in there there should be a folder called minecraft.jar you need to open this with WinRAR, 7-zip or some other file unzipper and there it is! The full path is C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Ro­aming\.minecraft\bin\
