http://www.pinkbarrio.com/blog/ Hola. Here's a "Peak Oil News Update" from "what is is." He shows us the current prices of petro or gas at two petro stations near the pink barrio. He also talks about Iran and it seems that, "US Spies See No Evidence of Iranian Nuclear Weapons Program." Well, even if they did see evidence of a weapons' program, why shouldn't Iran have one? The Estados Unidos (U.S.) has one and they have used their nuclear weapons! The hypocrisy is something else! This government goes around the world lecturing other nations to not do what they themselves are doing. Sigh. This government might consider setting an example. (Oh rosa barrio, what drugs are you on? This government isn't about to "lead by example.") "What is is" also mentioned the updated Biking & Hiking store on pink barrio (link at bottom of this page). Yes, the Biking & Hiking store has a new supplier for bicycles (they have 482 mountain bikes alone!) and accessories, and don't forget your helmet. Whenever I see a cyclist without a helmet (which is not too often), I think: "Well he/she knows better than I that he/she has nothing up there worth protecting!" I read an article the other day about cyclists and as per usual the hate started. Many people love to hate cyclists. Many motorists love to hate on cyclists how cyclist don't obey this rule and that rule and how they run stop lights/signs. I am so sick of hate and articles such as the one I read ALWAYS bring out the haters, mainly towards cyclists. As a cyclist, pedestrian and once-a-week motorist, I can assure one that most motorists are far from model drivers, yet they sanctimoniously lecture cyclists on the "rules of the road." If only the motorists would attempt to obey those rules themselves!! (One wonders: SUVs don't come with turn signals anymore do they?) I also see a few cyclists who drive/ride as badly as motorists. A cyclist will occasionally run a red light and almost get hit, just as a big gas-guzzling SUV will run a red light and almost get hit. But for all the haters of cyclists, I have to say that at the rate the petro prices are rising, you may end up being a cyclist yourself very soon by default. Either that or walking. Then, who will you be hating on? It doesn't matter what one gives a human being to drive, the behavior of the driver will be the same. (I almost got hit in the grocery store the other day by someone who was driving his shopping cart recklessly down the aisle as if it were a fast vehicle and he was intent on a "hit and run." It wouldn't surprise me if he drives on the streets the same way he "drives" in the grocery store. Fortunately, I got out of his way in time.) You can check out the pink barrio's Biking & Hiking store below. Ciao.----rosa barrio http://www.pinkbarrio.com/biking-hiking/
