Ida Brunelli-Lenti was only fifteen years old when she became the nanny to the Jewish children of Yuzzie Galambos. In 1944 their mother died, and young Ida found herself alone with three children in German occupied Italy. She cared for the children until liberation and handed them over to the soldiers of the Jewish Brigade. In 1998 Ida came to Israel with a delegation of fifty Righteous to mark the 50th anniversary of the State of Israel, and was interviewed by Yad Vashem.
