"Remember Quartet Works"

Albrecht Maurer - violin, composition
Gregor Siedl - saxophone
Robert Landfermann - double bass
Dominik Mahnig - drums

excerpts from a concert at "Musiklabor Köln", a concert series that takes place in the Kunsthaus Rhenania in Cologne.

Albrecht Maurer wrote this music 1994 for a WDR recording with Wolter Wiebos, Kent Carter and Achim Krämer. It became his first album under his name called "Quartet Works". 20 years later this music is still fresh and actual. So "Remember Quartet Works" is a new band of wild, Cologne based musicians, looking into an old book of now historical music, that was born, when "Improvised Music" was a new item and jazz was more interested to do a step across the border.
