In this virtual reality 360-degree video, you can see the massive new outdoor mural, painted by Casey and Tom Kilgore at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge Valdese Hospital in Rutherford College, NC. The 17-foot high gray concrete slab wall made for a visually boring view from the tall glass windows of the Rehabilitation department on the lower level of the hospital. A the urging of care team member Tim Smith, the Kilgore's submitted a proposal for the nature painting that stretches out more than 70 feet horizontally as it tapers down to a 3-foot tall height at the north end of the wall. Burke County nature scenes and wildlife were the inspiration for the mural, which is unusual in it's extension to the adjoining concrete sidewalk. Watch this short interview with the husband and wife art team, and use your cell phone, virtual reality head set, or VR compatible browser (like Google Chrome) to drag the video up, down, left or right to view all the interesting features of the mural. CHS Blue Ridge team member Tony Lee Glenn interviews the Kilgores.
