Live performance by Firefall on The Nashville Network's "Nashville Now" television show hosted by legendary Nashville disc jockey Ralph Emery.
Firefall was formed in Boulder, Colorado in 1974 and founded by Rick Roberts, who had been a member of the "Flying Burrito Brothers", and Jock Bartley, who had played in Gram Parsons' backing band and also was in "Zephyr", replacing Tommy Bolin ("T-Rex"). Other Firefall band members included bassist-singer Mark Andes (a former member of the bands "Spirit" and "Jo Jo Gunne") and drummer Michael Clarke, who was most famous for his time spent in the '60s folk-rock band "The Byrds." "You Are the Woman" was the band's biggest hit single, peaking at #9 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1976.
