THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN THE CHASE COMMUNITY GIVING CHALLENGE!Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit would like to thank the thousands of supporters in the Metro Detroit area and around the country who participated in the Chase Community Giving Facebook challenge. By getting thousands of votes in Round One, Mosaic was one of 100 non-profits from around the country to receive $25,000 in support from Chase, and the opportunity to compete for the one million dollar top prize in the second round.

While Mosaic did not win Round Two, Chase announced on January 25th that the organization would receive an additional $37,000 in support. The Chase Community Giving Advisory Board, which includes NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson, Emmy-nominated actress Eva Longoria and Do Something founder Nancy Lublin, selected 17 charities, including Mosaic, from Round Two to share $1 million of grants, in addition to the donations determined by Facebook user votes.

Mosaic received nearly 6,000 votes from supporters, old and new, in the Facebook challenge, who recognized the value of Mosaics award-winning youth development through the arts programs. Many voters expressed excitement about Mosaics recent purchase and planned renovation of the historic former home of WTVS and WJBK, providing a permanent home for Mosaics programs, and establishing a first-rate center for youth excellence in Detroits creative corridor.

Mosaic would like to congratulate The Friendship Circle, based in West Bloomfield, for their fourth place finish and award of $100,000.
