After Craig and Mike leave, Jack tells Carly it's time they talk about getting a divorce. Though she urges him to give their marriage another chance, he refuses but she won't let up and calls his visit a test. Jack later calls Tom and asks him to draw up the papers for his divorce. At Dusty's welcome home party at the Java Underground, Molly flirts with the guest of honor even as Dusty tries to apologize to a threatening Rose for kissing her. After advising Mitzi that she's going to tell Paul, Dusty promises Rose that he'll tell his best friend himself. Though Jessica brings Ben as her date to the party, Bonnie remains upset with her mother about allowing Marshall to live with her. Ben tries to calm her but Bonnie issues him a warning about Marshall. Jessica later overhears Ben admitting to Isaac that he still has some doubts about his relationship with Jessica. Insisting that she won't allow him to walk out on her, Katie lets Simon know that she had Bartleby arrested and deported. Frantic, Simon rushes to the station house but is too late. He calls Bartleby, who is lurking outside the cottage, and fears the worst when the deranged man voices his vow to kill Katie tonight. Catching him outside the cottage Simon confronts the ex-con and when he won't leave Katie alone, they struggle for his gun and Simon ends up shooting him dead. Remembering Bartleby's final promise that Simon would be hunted down if anything happened to him, Simon leaves a letter with Henry for Katie and then flees.
