Interview with Sallyann Turnbull, a 2007 alumna of the Wright State University Design/Technology program, with an emphasis in Stage Management. Immediately upon graduating, Turnbull became an intern at the internationally recognized Juilliard School of the Arts in New York City. In the interview Turnbull talks about how Wright State prepared her with a range of skills, from sets and lights to props and costumes. But most of all, it prepared her for the management of people, and time, and to delegate. The Wright State program in Stage Management offers a "WELL-ROUNDED EDUCATION" -- preparing individuals who are ready for a wide range of jobs in the performing arts. She recommends Wright State highly because it gets individuals ready for anything and everything in the world of performing arts. She says, "you will get the hands-on training that you won't get anywhere else...it will set up the foundation for any career that you want to pursue in the arts...If you want to be working in this business, and you go to Wright State, you will be working at the end of the day." She is now pursuing a career in arts administration.
