LeeSaar The Company performed at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in 2012.
"never less than remarkable to watch" --The New York Times
Founded in Tel Aviv in 2000 and now based in New York, LeeSaar is "a gutsy, brainy modern-dance troupe" (The New York Times). Since moving to the U.S. in 2004, actress/director Lee Sher and dancer/choreographer Saar Harari (founders) have been intriguing dance audiences and critics with creative theatricality and powerful dancing.
Their international ensemble of performers from Taiwan, South Korea, Israel, and the U.S. brought mystery and illusion to the stage with their dance-theatre work "FAME." The lines between reality and perception are blurred as truths are told and secrets revealed in this physical, sensual, and wonderfully eccentric production.
Jacob's Pillow Dance is a National Historic Landmark, home to America's longest-running dance festival, and recipient of the prestigious National Medal of Arts. To learn more about the Pillow: http://www.jacobspillow.org/
