Crush the ice before you begin for a smoother drink.

Step 4: Add rum, lime juice, sugar, & liqueur
Add 2 ounces of light rum, add 1 ounce of lime juice, pour in 1 teaspoon of sugar, and add 1 ounce of fruit liqueur of your choice.

Experiment with using honey or powdered sugar instead of granulated sugar for a drink that's a little more tart than sweet.

Step 5: Blend
Blend on medium speed for about 15 seconds or until smooth.

Step 6: Empty glass
Empty the cocktail glass.

Step 7: Pour, garnish, & serve
