IAW or Islam Awareness Week is a national annual event that is organised by Islamic Societies (ISOCs) either within the university community on campus or within the wider local community in which activities are organized to inform, promote, and increase awareness of the message of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
This academic year, eight (8) ISOCs in Dublin: Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, Dublin City University, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Institute Technology Tallaght, Dublin Business School, Institute Technology Blanchardstown and Dublin Institute of Technology along with four (4) ISOCs in other cities and towns: University College Cork, National University of Galway, Queens University Belfast and Institute of Technology Tralee, have joined together to host and coordinate an all Ireland Islam Awareness Weeks on Irish campuses. It will be held over two weeks starting from 15th of February 2010 and finishing on 26th of February 2010 with a IAW Grand Dinner
