The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) hopes this new public service announcement encourages drivers to put the phone down and passengers to speak up about distracted driving.
Matt Logan says his daughter Deej was always cautious when driving, until she made one bad choice. It was a choice that ended her life Sept. 4, 2012.
Deej was heading home from her first day of senior year at Byron High School when she decided to compose a text message. Before she could send the text, Deej drove into the back of a school bus and died.
With school back in full swing, Matt is encouraging teens to put the phone down and focus on the road in the new PSAs.
