I've been looking to give a little more muscle to my Princeton Reverb and the first thing on my list was a new speaker to replace the low efficiency stock Jensen. The two I ended up shooting out are the Jensen C10R (stock) the Eminence Legend 1058 and the WGS G10C/S.
Both the Eminence and the WGS gave me what I wanted, just two different flavors of it.

I realise that there are way too many variables that go into speaker shootouts to the same degree that exist in pickup shootouts. I managed to get each example to sound unique and show the traits of each speaker, so I consider it a victory.

From what I can gather, the Legend is a bolder, more aggressive original Jensen style speaker where as the WGS is an original style Jensen with the high end tamed a little but still delivering plenty of spank and sparkle. The Legend was a touch louder but the WGS still seemed to be cleaner.

I've also realised that I need to upgrade my Audio Interface. The Audiobox USB just doesn't have the headroom I need giving the illusion of that weird clipping sound even though it's not quite at the threshold yet.
