Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah's Speech on July 18, 2012, marking the six year anniversary of the July 2006 victory against Israel.

His eminence unveiled one of the Resistance movement's greatest tactical achievements, and one of the secrets behind Israel's defeat in July 2006. Sayed Nasrallah further promised a "big surprise" that awaits the Zionists in any future confrontation with Hezbollah. The Secretary General promised the people of Lebanon and all those who cherish the Resistance that the movement is more than capable of maintaining the country's stability and security in case of an Israeli aggression. I want the Lebanese people and all the peoples to be very confident in the Resistance's capabilities and to know that in this region we have the heart and will to organize, manage, fight and eventually win," Sayed Nasrallah said.

Sayed Nasrallah then moved on to talk about some regional developments, notably the situation in Syria. He mentioned that many of the missiles launched by Hezbollah during the July 2006 war were manufactured by Syria and supplied to the Resistance by the Syrian regime. The same also applied to Palestine, since many of the weapons supplied to the Palestinian resistance movements were manufactured by Syria. His eminence reminded those who have recently changed their views on Syria that whilst most Arab regimes, such as the Saudi and the Egyptian governments, prevented humanitarian aid from reaching the people of Palestine and the besieged Gaza strip, let alone arms and weapons. It was the Syrian regime that supplied Palestinians with those necessities in addition to food and humanitarian aid.

Finally, the Secretary General spoke about the current developments in Lebanon, maintaining that the relationship between Hezbollah and other factions in the Lebanese government is a relationship of allies and not enemies. Sayed Nasrallah also spoke about some attempts by various groups in Lebanon as well as various media outlets to spur hatred and division amongst the Lebanese people. His eminence warned of this and urged the Lebanese people not to give in to such attempts which would only lead the country to chaos.
