About J.Bowman

Originating from the North Island of New Zealand , J.Bowman has been based in Brisbane Australia since 2006. In 2007 Bowman co-founded the DJ collective known as
"Lets Get Minimal" By early 2008 J.Bowman and "Lets Get Minimal" had secured a
residency at the Empire's "Moon Bar" in Fortitude Valley Brisbane.
This opportunity during the next hugely sucessfull two years had Bowman pushing his unique sound of Minimal Tech and Techno at clubs and festivals all over Brisbane. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Martin Eyerer , Alex Young and Paul Ritch , Bowman's taste for electronic music and presence behind the decks went from strength to strength. Having played a warm-up set for the "Kompakt" Label Nights Tour @ BarSoma in 2009 , and playing a warm-up set for Robert Hood at an unforgettable Boat Party on the Brisbane River in 2010... J.Bowman was affirming himself as a talented up and coming Brisbane based DJ. With "Lets Get Minimal" booked to play the "Manifest" festival in 2010 J.Bowman Delivered a stand out set on the saturday night to cement his place as a solid Minimal Techno DJ within the Brisbane scene. In a 2010 that included numerous Brisbane Club Nights that saw "Lets Get Minimal" host international guests such as... Robert Hood,
Gregor Tresher and Nicone. J.Bowman had stepped up to deliver a refined and energetic experience every time he was behind the decks. 2011 saw J.Bowman booked to play
Earth Frequency Festival , Friday night on the main stage was were J.Bowman let loose a striped back driving big bass minimal techno set to a more than willing Earth Freq audience... J.Bowman had kicked off the festival in style.
