Hey, It's just a damn video
I heard the news the next day. My buddy Rick P. and I skipped school and were at the Fat Albert's on Bank Street, middle booth (of three) at the windows, I was facing south and he north...they repeated the news on the radio and everybody was stunned, a woman waiting for a sub started to cry. We got the pizza but couldn't even eat it. Felt too sick. That New Years Eve took my then girlfriend to see the original tour of Beatlemania...they had a marquee above the stage reading out the headlines of the times (as each year represented on stage) They had said that there would be something special as a tribute to John and oh boy...the end of the show came, the lights dimmed and the headlines began on the marquee: 1970 The Beatles Break Up...1972 Nixon Wins Election and so on and on through the rest of the decadde (1970's). There was several flashes of light and the words DECEMBER 8TH 1980 - JOHN LENNON SHOT AND KILLED. There was a moment, just a single moment afterwards, then the opening piano chords of "Let It Be" rang out into the theatre - and, as I am now writing this, tears filled my eyes as it did with those around me. We sang along. I will never forget.

I was 12 years old, and I remember that.  The world did not deserve John Lennon.

I'm surprised the media didn't blame the Patriots for the death of John Lennon too.

I was 22 years old, a total Beatles freak (then and still now). I remember lying in bed on Brock Drive, watching the game and hearing Cosell announce Lennon's death. I remember being devastated and thinking: "who gives a sh*t about a fuc*ing football game?  John Lennon is dead!" I immediately called my best friend, Steve (who was also a Beatles freak).  I'm 57 now and that's the only time I ever cried over a celebrity's death.

The doctor in this clip is a lying fraud and never even touched Lennon. The actual physician in the ER that tried to save his life was Dr. David Halleran, a third year resident.
