Kelly Case romped to a 7 1/4-length victory with Travelin Lite in the $18,000 Mildred Williams Driving Series Trot on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

The eight women drivers in the third race donated their purse earnings to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation, an award-winning non-profit organization that finds homes for non-competitive Standardbred racehorses and ensures their lifelong care. SRF also reaches out to children at risk through its after school Youth in Focus Program and to incarcerated teenagers within the Juvenile Justice System.

Ann Karin Larsen finished second with Heaven And Hall. Anne Schlichtig and Streetwise Hall were disqualified from third and placed fourth for interfering with Gliden Bones in the stretch. The latter, driven by Devan Miller, inherited the third-place spot. Also participating in the race were Stacy Chiodo, Valerie Warnick, Betsy Phillips and Linda MacDonald.

Travelin Lite, trained by Carmine Fusco, improved his record to 12 wins in 73 starts. Howard Jacobs of West Orange, NJ owns the six-year-old gelding.
