Vadodara (Gujarat), June 25 (ANI):Lord Jagannath's annual rath yatra started across the nation with pomp on Sunday but rath yatra which was celebrated in Gujarat’s Vadodara city garnered the attraction which was thronged by atleast 1200 children who pulled the Lord’s rath. Students hauled the decorated Rath with idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balram and Devi Subhadra. This unique Yatra was organised by Prince Ashokraje Gaekwad School like every year. Children pulled Lord’s rath from Jagannath temple to the school campus. Giving details of the event, director of Prince Ashokraje Gaekwad School Tushar Bhonsle said that this event is organised by the teachers and the children. The festival is celebrated on the second day of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh, the third month, according to the traditional Oriya calendar.
