The last rebel by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Great song, but I couldn't find it on Youtube, so I made it myself. This is the first video I've made myself, though... Hope you enjoy! ^^

Lyrics:
There's a grey horse standin' still
As a soldier climbs in the saddle for one last ride
As the rain pours off his hat
You can see the shadows of the past written in his eyes

Now the cannons are silent
His friends are all gone
Gotta put it all behind him
If he ever wants to find his way home
He's the last rebel on the road

Just a boy with his old guitar
Keeps to himself but everybody takes him wrong
But he carries on
Got a dream that will never die
Can't change him, no use in stayin' where you don't belong

Now he's rollin' down the highway
Gone too far too fast
No one will ever find him, he'll never look back

(chorus)
'Cause he's the last rebel
And he's all alone
He's the last rebel
His friends are all gone
He's the last rebel
The last rebel on the road

There'll never be another like him
He's the last of a dying breed
Ain't no use in tryin' to tame him
'Cause he's the last rebel

(repeat chorus)

Me and my father made a pact when I was a teenager, at his funeral I would play "Curtis Lowe" and if mine he would play"Last Rebel". I was 13 then, when I was 34 my farther passed away and I made sure Curtis Low was played at his funeral, and my wife will play this for me, in his place when my time comes.

I guess the thing about us rebels, if you don't already understand it, you never will. Therefore your opinion don't mean shit.

Be proud of yourselves, Dixie boys. They can take a lot, but they can't take your pride

Being a rebel has absolutely nothing to do with racism.  It is just a state of mind

This is probably my favorite Skynryd song. It speaks to me as a southern guy myself here. Wave the Confederate flag around proudly my friends, don't let the negative people that talk smack about it get you guys down. It is southern pride, it is heritage, it is history and it is not a symbol of racism.

This song hits home with the haunting guitar and lyrics. I really appreciate the bands effort to keep the music alive. And Ill be damned if it doesn't keep me a fan. From beginning to end...You all are the best Southern Rock band ever .....
