From Gravel to sand.

Looks more natural
Is safer if ingested than gravel
Easier to clean (stuff falls on top)

However can cause water cloudiness.

You can't use play sand you need to at least boil it or the chemicals can hurt the turtles
You should use pool filter sand not cloudy at all..

Mine is taking forever to clear up
i have a 20 gallon for a little turtle and i put the sand in before the water. now the water is like not clear lol. my filter is on i just wanna know how to clear up the water. should i just leave the filter on and let it clear over night or is there another way?

you have ti clean that filter by removing the bottem and cleaning the impeller its will be silent and quesit and will work really good

hi i have the same fliter would you know if i would need a new one if it viberates?and does not work preety
