June 2012, Long Island, New York, From the gridiron...the diamond...the rink... the court... the ring...and on to the links at Oheka Castle in Cold Spring Harbor! Sports icons came out to Long Island to participate in the inaugural Big Daddy Oheka Castle Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the Brain Aneurysm Center at North Shore Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Health System.

Despite a rain delay and overcast skies, the athletes converged on the links. Among the players at the tourney included former Heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, New York Giants icon Michael Strahan, Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks), Bernard Hopkins (Boxing Champion), Gary Sheffield (former Major League Baseball star), Clark Gillies (former New York Islander, NHL Hall of Fame), Marshon Brooks (Brooklyn Nets guard/forward), and Kevin Weekes (former NHL goaltender, NHL hockey broadcaster), among many others.

The golf tournament was hosted by New Hyde Park native and renown sports insurance agent Rich "Big Daddy" Salgado who survived a brain aneurysm thanks to the care he received at North Shore - LIJ.
