We at Pop17 met up with Aneil Mallavarapu and Jason Fischl the people behind the new mobile application Blipboard Inc. A new app that will allow you to truly be a local in your neighborhood, the application provides its users to find out interesting things going on right now in the area you are in and the most important part of it is that it will be simple, yet informative. You could always edit what kind of news and events you will be interested in, so there will be no Spam about the things you do not want know about. Now you could just walk out of your house, go on your phone and find out what is happening right now at the venues nearby and where your friends are at, so no excuse to be sitting at home anymore because there is nowhere to go and nothing to do. San Francisco will be the first city to test the app, which is perfect because no one is as technologically spoiled as the locals. The creators said that they want the app to be as simple as Twitter, we agree with them because less is more, even when it comes to mobile applications, even the greatest ideas could be ruined by too much content, so we hope that this app will be as simple as Aneil and Jason said it would. With Aneil being a Harvard graduate and having a PhD from UCSF, and Jason recently working as the Senior Director at Skype we will be expecting something big from this collaboration.
P.S. Dear iOS 6 Map users: we feel your pain, so this could also be a good solution while your map looks like the apocalypse already occurred and Apple has the first images of the world after it.
