The Goods became one of Miami's biggest bands in the '90s. When this was shot, the guys were still part of an obscure local group called New Impact. This was the first time they'd used the name THE GOODS, although the official Goods debut wasn't until January 13, 1989. Jim Camacho (vocals/bass) and Tony Oms (guitar) were on board. Kasmir Kujawa had not yet been recruited to play drums. (John Camacho was still playing with Maria Conchita Alonso, which is why he was absent.) You'll even hear an early version of "I'm Not Average". This is raw video from WCIX-TV Channel 6, which is why you don't hear complete songs. We shot this to be used as part of a 30-second story, about the Muscular Dystrophy Rock-A-Thon at the Cameo. The guys just happened to be playing when we arrived. My only question is "where was Mama Camacho"?
