Lisa Gade reviews the Alienware 17 R4 17.3" gaming laptop. The R4 was released in late 2016 and features NVIDIA Pascal 10 Series graphics cards (GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080 are available, ours has the GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5).

This is their best design yet- quality build, a clean look and slim design while keeping heat and noise under control.

The price starts around $1,500, and that gets you the quad core 6th generation 45 watt Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU, 1TB 7200 RPM HDD,, Killer WiFi + Ethernet, and a 300 nit matte IPS 1920 x 1080 display. You can get it with 16 gigs of DDR4 2400MHz RAM (32 gigs is max), a PCIe SSD, and the Intel Core i7-6820HK overclockable CPU. There's a QHD 120Hz display with G-Sync and a 4K display option too. Zone programmable backlighting is standard.
