The 2014 Pascall Prize Australian 'Critic of the Year' was awarded to James Ley, Melbourne-based writer, critic, and editor of the 'Sydney Review of Books' on Friday 23 May. James talks about his new book 'The Critic in the Modern World', published by Bloomsbury.

For the last few years the Pascall Prize has been awarded at an event held at the Sydney Writers' Festival, featuring friendly debates with prominent writers, journalists, and broadcasters.

Venue: Wharf Theatre 2, Pier 4/5 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay, The Rocks, Sydney NSW, Australia.
