At the Finali Mondiali Ferrari 2013 held in Mugello circuit, for the first time I saw ride on track the legendary F333 SP, not one but three cars!!. It was designed by Dallara and was presented in 1993. Took the track the following year with the intention of Ferrari to propose a competitive sportcar-prototype to its customers and was deployed in the IMSA championship . This category of cars, which saw Ferrari triumph for many years even with the latest 312PB was left by Ferrari in 1973 and 20 years later the factory decided to return to this category. This car combines the best in every field, from the engine with a 650 hp ( F1-derived ) V12 , tubular chassis designed by Dallara and body- carbon fiber assembly at the Michelotto Cars of Padua, all for a weight of only 860 kg . The F333 SP was immediately competitive and for nearly a decade achieved success in the most important endurance racing, including the 24 Hours of Daytona (1998). His palmares speaks for itself, with 69 pole positions and 56 victories!
Al Finali Mondiali Ferrari 2013 svoltosi al Mugello, con grande stupore ed ammirazione, per la prima volta ho visto girare non una ma ben 3 esemplari della mitica F333 SP, vettura praticamente sconosciuta in Europa. Fu progettata da Dallara e venne presentata nel 1993. Scese in pista l'anno dopo con l'intento della Ferrari di proporre una vettura sport-prototipo ai propri clienti e venne schierata nel campionato IMSA. Questa categoria di vetture, che vide la Ferrari trionfare per molti anni anche con l'ultima 312PB venne lasciata dalla Ferrari nel 1973 e ben 20 anni dopo riapparve una nuova sport-prototipo motorizzata Ferrari, appunto la 333 SP. Questa vettura riunisce il meglio in ogni settore, dal motore V12 da 650 CV (di derivazione F1), telaio tubolare progettato da Dallara e carrozzaria in fibra di carbonio ed assemblaggio presso la Michelotto Automobili di Padova, il tutto per un peso di soli 860 kg. Si rivelò subito competitiva e per quasi un decennio ottenne successi nelle più importanti competizioni di durata fra cui la 24 ore di Daytona (1998). Il suo palmares parla da solo, con 69 pole positions e 56 vittorie assolute!
