Ares 1-X Test flight Filmed in1080p Hd and 5.1 surround sound. Filmed from only 3 miles away in a special VIP NASA Viewing area
NASA's Ares I-X rocket lifted off on Oct. 28 at 11:30 a.m. EDT from the newly modified Launch Complex 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida for a two-minute powered flight. The time from launch until splash down of the rocket's booster stage nearly 150 miles down range was approximately six minutes. The launch marks the first time in nearly three decades that NASA has successfully tested a new rocket design at the same complex used for the Apollo and space shuttle programs.
