Atelier Muriel Souilhac in Paris is the name of an architectural firm owned and run by Muriel Souilhac. She recently selected the durable Esthec Terrace system for a terrace in one of their home decoration projects. Esthec caught Muriel’s attention at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris where she was looking for a high-quality terrace decking solution for this project. Sustainability
Muriel Souilhac studied architecture in Valladolid (Spain) for one year and in Havana (Cuba) for another year before completing her studies in Versailles (France) in 2009. She then continued her studies by taking a two-year course at the Ecole Spéciale D'Architecture in Paris. A major theme in Muriel’s work is sustainability. She is concerned about current environmental problems and aims to achieve the best possible energy performance and maximum use of healthy and environment-friendly materials in her renovation and new building projects. She regularly attends courses in the field of sustainability and ecological building.
Maritime feel
Muriel’s projects are characterized by a modern architectural style. Her work ranges from new construction and renovation to interior and furniture design. Muriel: “At the fair in Paris I came into contact with Esthec and was introduced to Esthec Terrace as I was looking for a terrace solution with a top-quality appearance for our project. Esthec Terrace immediately reminded me of a ship’s deck. The entire apartment had been designed in that style and since we also wanted to give the terrace a maritime feel, the click was instant.”
Easy installation
The installation of the terrace also went exactly to plan. Muriel: “Especially the straight parts were very easy to install. From an installation point of view I think that you cannot compare Esthec Terrace to any other composite terrace solution. Our client is also very pleased with the end result. In my opinion Esthec Terrace is a contemporary product with a premium-quality appearance.”
