$10 Million Judgment for brain damaged 12 year-old. Evidence used at trial to show impact forces throwing child over a car striking him at 33 mph.
A BMW being driven at 33 mph in a 25 mph school zone at the Morrill Middle School in San Jose hit 12 year-old Rasheed Hilson as he was leaving a school basketball game at 4:20 p.m. on a bright, sunny day. Rasheed was accelerated from 0 to 33 miles per hour in milliseconds and flung over the BMW which never slowed or braked. Our state-of-the-art computerized reconstruction shows how Rasheed's brain was severely damaged.
