The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bismarck (North Dakota) hosted "The Enduring Legacy of Vatican II" symposium to celebrate the opening of the Year of Faith Oct. 11, 2012. University of Mary president Fr. James Shea delivered the keynote address for the event titled "The Renewal of Vatican II" exactly 50 years after the opening of the Second Vatican Council, which Shea calls "the most significant ecclesial and religious event of the 20th century."
