Once the palace of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, Topkapi is a vast treasury of Islamic culture, science and weaponry, visited by over 2 million people every year. The jewels of the Sultan are amazingly ornate and in this video at the treasury we examine several of the most previous objects at the palatial museum. What are they made of? Why were they made?
