***PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION***
In this video we hear the sounds of my 2-6-0 mogul engine that is currently undergoing a complete transformation and I have finally been able to re-assemble and re-install her working parts and reconnect all the necessary wiring to operate and test her out. I filmed this in the dark because she is still incomplete and I do not reveal my kitbashing works until they are complete. So this is just a preview of her sounds. All I will say is that she is a New Bright 2-6-0 mogul originally made in 1992 as a Christmas engine. I have had her since June of this year, and like I said, has been undergoing an inside-out, from the ground up total kitbash. One of the aspects of the project has been to give her sounds suitable for her character. I replaced her air whistle with one I modified especially for her to sound somewhat lower pitched and with more "Bass" to it's sound. I also rigged the wiring in the locomotive to be able to connect to another New Bright tender that contains the electronic chugging and bell of the engine. It also has the option of playing Christmas tunes as well, which I don't use all too much. And so with that explained, her overall sound system is part mechanical, and part electronic; the mechanical aspect is the motor-driven air whistle, and the electronic aspect is the chugging and bell from the tender. The term that I coined for this creation that I made is "Hybrid sounds", which means part mechanical and part electronic sounds. She is the first and only one of my engines with this feature. Pretty cool, huh?
