Most polls show the presidential race a dead heat among North Carolina's registered voters. On Monday, CNN revised its prediction for our state from "leans Romney" to being a true "toss up." Rep. Howard Coble, dean of North Carolina's congressional delegation, says he would advise Romney to "lean firmly" upon Independents in the remaining 70 days of campaign. This week's Republican National Convention is a chance for Romney to reintroduce himself to voters.
