More than 3,000 accepted students and family members arrived at the College of Charleston on Friday, March 24, for Accepted Student Weekend 2012. This two-day event assists students who have been accepted to the College of Charleston make their final decision about enrolling at the College.

Families were able to attend a variety of panels on topics such as student life, Greek life, pre-law advising, pre-professional health advising, financial aid and more. Buses were available for exploring off-campus facilities such as the Grice Marine Biology Lab or the College's sports complex at Patriots Point -- both a 10-minute ride from downtown.

Professors gave mini-lectures, clubs and organizations had information available during the street fair and parents attended their own information session. There were tours of the campus and residence halls, and "a day-in the-life-of-a-student" tours as well. At 2:00 p.m., each academic school hosted a reception so that faculty could get to know students who are interested in their particular fields.

There were additional events for admitted Honors College students, multicultural students and students interested in Jewish life on campus.
